She was predeceased by: her parents, Merle Young and Beulah Young; her husband Rear Admiral Myron Ricketts; and her son Bruce. She is survived by: her son Eric (Wendy). She is also survived by three grandchildren.
A graduate of Boston University, Marilyn worked for over twenty years as a physical therapist, followed by employment at the Heritage Foundation as a talent recruiter.
