He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hartman and Anna Hartman; and his sisters, Peggy Jane and Barbara Dean. He is survived by: his wife Edna; his children, Susie and Bill; and his pets, Max and Opie. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, and great grandnieces.

A funeral service was held on Friday, November 28th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Pierce Funeral Home (9609 Center St, Manassas, VA 20110).
