She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman Smith and Billie Hinson Smith; her husband Edward Lee Hatfield; and her brother Jimmy Smith. She is survived by: her daughters, April Acquaviva (Doug Osborne) of Galax, Virginia and Karen (Randy Phelps); her grandson Tyler Acquaviva; and her caregivers, Lisa Hobernicht, Anita Davis and Barbara Vaughn.
