He was predeceased by : his parents, Joe Norman and Alice Carrie Rich Lineberry; and his wife Lona Sue Wright Lineberry. He is survived by : his daughter Jackie; his son-in-law Gerald Horton; his sons, Joe (Lena Lineberry) and Charles (Bonnie Lineberry); his sister Linda of Galax Virginia; and his brother-in-law Hurley Wilson of Galax Virginia. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
