She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene Carter and Wodena Hashley Carter. She is survived by: her husband Steven W. Hayball of Galax, Virginia; her sons, Gerald C. (Sandra J. Hayball) and Kenneth S. (Lori Hayball); her sister Arlene of Jackson, Michigan; her brother-in-law Jim O'Sullivan of Jackson, Michigan; and her grandchildren, Andrea, Ashley, Aaron and Austin. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; several great-nieces and great nephews and several cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel (201 W Center St, Galax, VA 24333).
