He is survived by: his wife Kathy Saul Dixon of Galax, Virginia; his daughter Heather; his son-in-law Rob Litton of Wytheville, Virginia; his grandchildren, Jaxson Wood and Sydney Wood; and his siblings, Darlene Gillespie of Mt. Airy and Kenneth Dixon of Independence, Virginia. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
