He was predeceased by: his parents, Clayton Owen and Betty Ruth Sawyers Dixon; his son Donnie Keith Dixon; and his sister Dama Dixon Sumner Alderman. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Jennings Dixon; his daughter Jennifer of Galax, Virginia; his son-in-law Lee Coomes of Galax, Virginia; his son Christopher Dixon of Winston-Salem; his sister Dianne; his brother-in-law Ernest Davis of Fries, Virginia; and his grandchildren, Matthew Coomes, Emily Coomes and Dylan Dixon. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
