Doris Barton Bedwell Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Doris Barton Bedwell of Galax, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 12, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Barton and Nancy Murray Barton; her husbands, Kenneth Bedwell and Charley Whalen; and her daughter-in-law Wendy Bedwell.
She is survived by: her son Jeff; her daughter-in-law Susan Bedwell; her daughter Pam of Fort Mill; her son-in-law E. J. Carico of Fort Mill; her grandchildren, Tara Bedwell Nero (Tyson), Travis Bedwell and Emily Carico; her great grandchildren, Alina, Colton and Brooks; and her siblings-in-law, Evelyn Barton of Tannersville, Betty Parish of Galax, Virginia and Bob Hughes of Ocala, FL. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
