She was predeceased by: her parents, Kyle Franklin and Ruby Violet Boyer Smith; and her siblings, Lois Larrowe, Bobby Edwards and Jimmy Edwards.
She is survived by: her husband Allen Taylor; her daughters, Tammy (Ken Cummings) of Galax, Virginia, Kelly (Stuart Patton) of Galax, Virginia, Lara Payne of Galax, Virginia, Sherry (Kevin Goode) and Angie (John Warner); and her sisters, Ruth Edwards of Georgia, Nell Bloodworth of Georgia, Mary McCray of West Virginia and Katy Edwards of Galax, Virginia. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Hillcrest Baptist Church (1218 S Main St, Galax, VA 24333).
