He is survived by: his wife Reenee Nichols of Galax, Virginia; and his children, Sherry Hackler (Mike) of Independence, Virginia, Mike Nichols (Torri), Mark Nichols (Thonia) of Galax, Virginia and Sheila Vicars (George) of Fancy Gap, Virginia. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
