We are sad to announce that, on May 13, 2026, at the age of 91, James Herman Huffman of Galax, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Herman and Wilma Bolen Huffman; and his brother John Trenton Huffman. He is survived by: his wife Vera Howell Huffman of Galax, Virginia; his children, Lisa Huffman (Danny Jones) of Pulaski, Virginia, Sonya Huffman of Galax, Virginia and Steve; his daughter-in-law Karen Huffman of Galax, Virginia; his grandchildren, Justin (Kelsey Huffman), Caitlin (Harmony Huffman), Travis (Dawn Schaeffer) and Kyle (Kayla Schaeffer); and his great grandchildren, Joe, Millie, Trenton, Evelyn, Harley, Beau and Ada.
In lieu of flowers the family respectfully request donations be made to either the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105 or the Shriners Hospitals For Children, 2900 North Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, Florida 33607.
