We are sad to announce that on December 27, 2024, at the age of 95, Kate Higgins Vaughan of Galax, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband James Vaughan (Jimmy). She is survived by: her sons, Steve Vaughan and Alan Vaughan (Jackie); her grandsons, Jacob Vaughan (Tracie), Jarred Vaughan and Jordan Vaughan; her great grandchildren, Anna Gallimore (Trenton), Ayla Vaughan and Allie Vaughan; and her brother Tom Higgins. She is also survived by nieces and nephews; multiple dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Shriners Children's Hospital in her memory.
