He was predeceased by: his parents, Connie Shaw and Nora Shaw; his son Johnny Shaw; and his siblings, John Shaw and Silvia Rudd.
He is survived by: his children, Tommy Shaw (Vonda) and Scarlet Shaw (Justin Grant); his siblings, Linda Richter, Sandra Andrews (Mack), Frances Dale, Kathy Pini (Ralph), Susan Shaw-Snow and Gary Shaw (Mae); his grandchildren, Jonathan Shaw (Ashley) and Haley Shaw; and his friend Jeff Testerman.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Beech Grove Baptist Church (1203 Beech Grove Ln, Galax, VA 24333). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Larry's name to the Baywood Search and Rescue.
