She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Smith and Nora Lucretia Russell Smith; and her siblings, Bonnie Lou Bobbitt, Gene Russell and Sandy Russell.
She is survived by: her children, Bernie (Susan Herrington) of Galax, Virginia, Mike (Shady Herrington Forbus) of Lewisville, Joey (Tammy Herrington) of Winston-Salem and Chris (Kristal Herrington) of Charleston; her grandchildren, Allison Herrington (Hunter Herrington), Stone (Carley Forbus), Pebbles Forbus (Taylor Herrington), Garrett Herrington (Eli Jones) and Reanna (Justin Burch); and her sister Betty Ann Smith. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Linda loved the flowers received in her lifetime, therefore, in lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Loaves and Fish Food Pantry at Endless Possibilities Church.
