It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mallie Vaughan Roberts of Galax, Virginia, who passed away on October 20, 2025, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Mallie's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Mallie has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her husband Thurman W. Roberts; her children, Dwayne L. Roberts and Brenda D. Roberts; and her grandchildren, Melissa J. Shockley and Scott N. Moxley.
She is survived by: her children, Reida R. (Michael Jennings), Teresa Roberts, Cynthia R. (Keith Bischer) and Terry L. Roberts; her daughter-in-law Carmela L. Roberts; and her caregiver Vaneta Willard. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, four great, great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel (201 W Center St, Galax, VA 24333). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
