We are sad to announce that on April 9, 2024, at the age of 56, Melissa Faye Brown of Galax, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her father Harold Len. She is survived by : her mother Audrey Faye Swinney of Galax, Virginia; her son Christopher; her daughter-in-law Heather McFarland; her daughters, Megan McFarland, Ryan Diehl and Amanda Swinney; her sister Jody; her brother-in-law Ricky Sexton; her grandchildren, Chloe Hunley, Caysen Hill, Bentley, Braylee Anderson, Waylon, Kimber McFarland and Dorian Bond; her niece Kristen Adams (Lupe Hernandez); her nephew Mark (Alisha Adams); her fiancé Roger Ray; and her close friends, Sherry Dalton, Anthony Bond and Andrew Bond.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home (201 W Center St, Galax, VA 24333).
