He is survived by : his wife Arlowene Burcham Alderman; his sisters, Violet Brewer and Lois Ann Alderman; his sister-in-law Linda Alderman of Galax, Virginia; and his close friend Thomas Gallimore. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
