Though Nathan may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Nathan touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Hanks and Gladys Peake Hanks; and his brothers, Virgil Hanks and David Wayne Hanks. He is survived by: his sister Sandra; his brother-in-law Jeff Ballard of Pulaski, Virginia; and his brother Randy Hanks of Galax, Virginia. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Pickett Cemetery (1930 Pleasantview Rd, Austinville, VA 24312).
