She was predeceased by: her parents, Armstead Roscoe and Dora Marrs Parish of Arizona; her husband James Monroe Tompkins; and her siblings, John Parish, Charles Parish, Keith Parish and Margaret Parish.
She is survived by: her daughter Cecelia Tompkins Patton; her son-in-law Cliff; her son Dennis Tompkins of Galax, Virginia; her close friend Teresa King of Galax, Virginia; her grandsons, Michael A. Patton (Jessica) of Christiansburg, Virginia and Matthew S. Patton (Faith Eichner) of Galax, Virginia; and her great grandchildren, Andrew Patton and Walker Patton.
