He is survived by: his wife Velma Morris Jones of Galax, Virginia; his son Steven; his daughter-in-law Michelle Jones of Greensboro; and his sister Faye Rutherford of Woodlawn, Virginia. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; several great-nieces and great-nephews.
