We announce the death of Winona Bernice Miller of Galax, Virginia, who passed away on September 10, 2026, at the age of 64. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Walter Hix and Doris Faye Taylor Johnson; her husband Douglas Darrell Miller of Galax, Virginia; her children, Chenoa (Shawn Montgomery), Lindsay (Ryan Oliver) and Hix; her daughter-in-law Ingle Miller of Cana, Virginia; her sister Wynn; her brother-in-law Jeff Combs of Fries, Virginia; her brothers, Warren (Ruth Johnson), Wayne (Annalee Johnson) and Wade (Barbara Johnson); her grandchildren, Thomas (Tessa), Alexis, Holly, Daniel, Sean, Taven, Maeli, Milli and Finnigan; and her great grandchild Tyse. She was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Hillcrest Baptist Church (1218 S Main St, Galax, VA 24333). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
