It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol Jane Templeton of Gate City, Virginia, who passed away on April 27, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Worley Shelton and Emma Shelton (Wininger); her son William W. Templeton; her brother-in-law Rufus Wallen; and her nephew Ricky Wallen.
She is survived by: her husband Dennis C. Templeton; her sons, Dennis Michael Templeton, David Templeton (Kim) and James Templeton (Michelle); her grandchildren, Cody Templeton (Samantha), Zachary Templeton (Elisabeth), Chase Templeton (Taylor), McKenzie Templeton (Ryan), Blake Templeton and Alexis Akers (Anthony); her great grandchildren, Silas Templeton and Thomas Akers; and her sister Frances Wallen.
