He is survived by: his sons, David Lee Summers Jr. (Laura), Jonathan Summers of Gate City, Matt Summers (Beth) of Gate City and Jamie Holbrook (Rennee) of Kingsport; and his sisters, Linda Carter (Glenn) of Wise and Lisa Carter (Jimmy). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, close relatives, and friends.
