With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elizabeth Turner Simpson of Gate City, Virginia, who passed away on April 19, 2023 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father David Van Buren Turner; her husband Oscar Otis Simpson; her son-in-law Leland Williamson; and her siblings, Francis Thomas, Denicy Ruffner, Catherine Spencer, Laura Gaines, Betty Wolfe, Fostena Parkey, David Turner, Pearline Turner, Nathaniel Turner and Cornelius Turner.
She is survived by: her daughter Marie Williamson; and her grandchildren, Eli Williamson, Whitney Anderson (Ali Kasongo), Brittany Frazier (Seth) and Jala Williamson. She is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
