Gary Wayne McCracken Obituary
We are sad to announce that on April 25, 2026, at the age of 64, Gary Wayne McCracken of Gate City, Virginia passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Gary Wayne McCracken to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul McCracken and Bertie McCracken (Lane); his former wives, Terri Smith and Melissa McCracken; and his brother Billy McCracken.
He is survived by: his children, Hailey McCracken and Anthony McCracken; his siblings, Janie Frye, Jaunita McCracken, Freida Estep and Johnny McCracken; his pets, Mickey "Michelob", Beagle Butt and Diesel; and his nieces and nephews, Courtney Daugherty (Chris), Rickie Frye (Carly), Taylor Berry (Adam "Grill Master"), Eric Frye and John-John Smith. He is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 30th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, May 1st 2026 at 10:15 AM at the Gate City Funeral Home (136 Beech St, Gate City, VA 24251). A graveside service was held on Friday, May 1st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Brickey Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the funeral home to aid in funeral expenses.
