With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of George William Dickerson of Gate City, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 8, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though George William may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those George William touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Quillen Lawson and Amanda Juanita Gilliam Bledsoe; and his sister Barbara Geraldine Gilliam. He is survived by: his son William "Junior" Dickerson (Melinda); his siblings, Barbara "Bobbie Ann" Christian and Mack Bledsoe (Sandra); and his granddaughter Amanda Kathleen Dickerson.
