He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Stapleton, Sr. and Clara Stapleton (Falin); his sister Linda Sexton; and his half-siblings, Loretta Starnes, Polly Falin, Charlie and Ed Stapleton.
He is survived by: his wife Wilma Joan Stapleton; his daughters, Stephanie Buttry (Chris) and Penny Shadrick (William); and his granddaughter Hannah Dingus. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
