He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Clinton Howington and Edna Mae Howington (Lark); and his brothers, Ronnie, Gary, Gerald and Neil Howington.
He is survived by: his daughter Nichole Stanley (Mike) of Gate City, VA; his granddaughters, Nora Estep, Ashley Stanley and Morgan Stanley; his siblings, Rita Dingus (Phillip) of Weber City, VA, Denise Reed (Buford) of Gate City, VA, Alan Howington (Phyllis) of Duffield, VA, Eddie Howington of Kingsport, TN and Larry Howington (Cindy) of Kingsport, TN; and his close friend Tammie Dixon of Gate City, VA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
