He was predeceased by: his former wife Linda McDavid; and his parents, James McDavid and Virginia Hensley McDavid. He is survived by: his wife Retha Miracle McDavid; his sons, Eric Dougherty (Amy) and Brian Dougherty (Vickie); his stepdaughter Michelle Rowland (Ben); his grandchildren, Aiden, Kalin, Zachary, Haley and Maggie Dougherty; his stepgrandchildren, Cayla Douglas (Melvin) and Shane Douglas (Cheyenne); his stepgreat-grandson Aiden Douglas; and his siblings, Ellen McKeigney (Al) and Joey McDavid. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
