Lawrence leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Lawrence’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Lawrence will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Marshall Linkous and Linda May Gibson Dingus; and his siblings, Ernie Linkous and Janie Shupe. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Linkous; his daughters, Christina Hull of Bluff City, TN and Alice Simpson (Mark) of Johnson City, TN; his grandchildren, Alyssa Cross and Landon Cross; his siblings, Billy Linkous (Phyllis) and Marie May Shupe (Randall); and his niece Rebecca Shupe.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Colonial Funeral Home (456 US-23, Weber City, VA 24290). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
