With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Roy Ernest Jeter III (Gate City, Virginia), who passed away on October 25, 2025 at the age of 52. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Roy farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Roy is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Jeter Jr. and Ethel Jeter (Fields); and his sister Susan Housewright. He is survived by: his sons, Zachary Jeter and Brayden Jeter; his sister Sandra Matthews; and his brother-in-law Steve Woods. He is also survived by Several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Gate City Funeral home to help with cremation expenses.
