He is survived by: his children, Jennifer Anne Houseright (Bill) of Gate City, VA, Mary Margaret "Margie" Beasley (Tom) of Hiltons, VA, Donna Jo Clark (Mike) of Hiltons, VA and Stanley E. "Eddie" Bateman, Jr. (Tara) of Kingsport, TN; and his half-brother Randy Bateman of Elizabethton, TN. He is also survived by nieces and nephews; 20 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the charity they loved most, St. Jude Children's Hospital, honoring Stanley's lifelong commitment to faith and community.
