It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nancy Thompson of Glade Hill, Virginia, who passed away on December 2, 2022, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Sam Rigney and Lillie Hodges Rigney; her former life partner Lynwood Atkins; her siblings, Virginia Foley (Alvin), Clyde, Arthur "Peanut", Roy "Buster", Cleatis, Sam and Charles Wayne; her nephew Troy Foley; and her niece Sandra Rigney.

She is survived by : her children, Annette Dalton, Vicky Robertson (Gabriel), Vernon Atkins and Timothy Thompson (Denise); her grandchildren, Emily Steele (Devin), Beau Robertson, Brad Dalton and Victoria Robertson; her great grandchild Kenzie Steele; and her family, Myrtle Beach and Pigeon Forge.

The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to Henry Fork Church of the Brethren, 130 Doe Run Road, Rocky Mount, VA.
