She was predeceased by: her parents, Johnny J. Puckett and Bertha Mae Lambert Puckett of Clinchco, Virginia.; and her siblings, Walter G. Puckett, Freddie H. Puckett, Sally Stanley, Lois Ludowici, Gay Moats, Glenda Gaby and Bonnie Runions.
She is survived by: her children, Regena Arlene Thompson of Maryville, Tennessee and Rice Jamie Thompson of Portland, Oregon; her grandchildren, Morgan Beth Lockhart of Charlottesville, Virginia and Kyle Joseph Schwartz of Knoxville, Tennessee.; her siblings, Roger Puckett (Diann), Joseph Puckett, Peggy Brooks, Becky Woods (Dean), Pam Puckett and Johnnie Thompson (Clinton); and her sister-in-law Betty Murphy Puckett. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Middle Branch Freewill Baptist Church (131 Silcox Dr, Dante, VA 24266). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
