He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow Greer and Edna Greer; his brother Marvin Greer; and his brother-in-law Ralph Sullivan. He is survived by: his wife Jan Greer; his children, Christy Greer and Jeff Greer (Heather); his grandchildren, Aaron Greer (Katie), Alexis Fields (Colt), Sarah Petty (Tyler), Hannah Dillard and Leah Dillard; his great grandchildren, Grayson Fields, Waylon Greer and Tucker Boyd Greer; and his siblings, Sheila Helton, Roberta McConnell, Bernadine Severt, Bernice Reeves, Darlene Myers, Marjorie Sullivan and Maurice Greer. He is also survived by several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Garrett Funeral Home (203 N Shady Ave, Damascus, VA 24236). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Riverview Chapel at Garrett Funeral Home (203 N Shady Ave, Damascus, VA 24236). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Sunset Memorial Park - Damascus (21674 Monroe Rd, Damascus, VA 24236).
