She was predeceased by: her parents, William Kasper Mason and Ruby Elder Mason; her husband Floyd Ruhane Bedsole; her former husband Jack Carpenter; her son Randall Lee Carpenter; her brother Maxwell Mason; her granddaughter Amber Leigh Carpenter; and her brother-in-law Paul Adkins.
She is survived by: her children, Jeff Carpenter (Kathy) of Gladys, Pamela F. McElvain (John) of Stafford and Gregory B. Carpenter of Florida; her grandchildren, Jeffrey Carpenter (Anu), Caleb Carpenter (Catie), Laura Marks (Chris), Kristen Ramsey (Drew), Michael McElvain (Amy), Stephen McElvain (Dawn), Kaitlin McElvain, Gregory Carpenter and Nicole Adams; and her great grandchildren, Logan, Caleb, Jr., Cooper, Chase, Skylie, Lilly, Ty, Jack, Benjamin, Matthew, Jase, Sophia, Hailey and Mitchell.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Henderson Funeral Home Chapel (221 Old Main St, Brookneal, VA 24528). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Beulah Baptist Church.
