He is survived by: his wife Marie McKinney Franklin; his daughters, Cheryl Garrett (Jason) of Appomattox and Emily Burks (Douglas) of Lynchburg; his grandchildren, Megan Bruffy, Mason Andrews, Halley Rose, Noah Franklin, Rileigh Knight, Kinsley Burks and Lucas Burks; his great grandchildren, Ryleigh, Kyla, Nathan, Reese Bruffy and Stella Andrews; and his siblings, Roberta Austin and Roger D. Franklin of Appomattox.
