It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Alfred Watson of Gladys, Virginia, born in Pageland, South Carolina, who passed away on April 26, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Watson and Nellie Watson (Alsbrook); his grandparents, John and Florence Watson; and his siblings, Eleanor Tabor, Doris Banks, Lila Jenkins, Thelma Morgan-Pendergrass and Larry Watson.
He is survived by: his sons, Alfred-Jamal Watson (Chy) and Teron Watson (Brandy); his grandsons, Bryson and Kaleb Watson; the mother of his children Teresa Poindexter-Brown; his stepchildren, Catina Poindexter-Tims and Jermaine Poindexter; and his siblings, Freddie Mae O'Bryant, Gerald Watson (Susie), E'Lois Watson-Thomason and Carolyn Bennett (Karl).
