He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerry Whitfield Alford and Peggy Eloise Massie. He is survived by: his daughters, Alexia Elizabeth Alford (Michelle) and Jordan Blair Brainard (Joshua); his sisters, Deborah Alford and Dana Gordon (Thomas); and his nieces, Kimberly Ogden, Jennifer Staneart (Josh), Berkley Mudrick (Colin) and Brittany Trible (Paul). He is also survived by nine great-nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Falling Spring Presbyterian Church (386 Falling Spring Rd, Glasgow, VA 24555).
