With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dakota Matthews of Glen Allen, Virginia, who passed away on August 30, 2021 at the age of 27. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Midge Burruss, Harold Burruss, Sue Trainham and Bobbi Hardy. He is survived by: his parents, Denise Vega (Tony) and PopPop (Rupert Burruss); his grandfather Art Hardy; and his siblings, Landon, Dylan, Chris, Cary, Chad and Natasha. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and friends.

He was as selfless in death as in life by giving life to others through organ donation.
