He was predeceased by: his wife Bonnie; and his parents, Marian and Henry Clarke "H. C." Sitterson. He is survived by: his sons, Jason (Katie), Brad (Christina) and Christopher (Carrie); his brother Ralph (Gail); and his grandchildren, Hayden, Noah, Blakely, Wyatt, Brandt, Autumn and Willa.
