He was predeceased by : his parents, Oliver James Jackson and Spraye Juanita Jackson; and his siblings, Clinton, Alvin Jackson and Yolanda Jackson.

He is survived by : his sons, James R. Jackson Jr. (Robbie) and Terrance L. Jackson (Terry); his grandsons, Cameron, Devon, Donovan, Ryan, Payton and Jordan Jackson; his great grandchildren, Za'kia and Kameron Jackson; and his uncle Rev. Benjamin Jackson. He is also survived by 2 nieces, 2 nephews, and a host of loving cousins and friends.
