He is survived by: his brothers, Manuel A., Antonio A. and David V.; his wife Maria Furtado; his children, Ana Sousa (David), Joe Amaral, Donna Gillespie, Paula Chisholm (Franklin), Fabio Amaral (Francine) and Solange Haun (James); his grandchildren, Sherrie, Marissa, Chris, Gracie, Chloe, Cooper, Natalie, Cohen, Declan, Felix, Parker and Sophie; and his siblings, Zenaida F., Jaime A., Dora V., Cecelia V. and Maria José L.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at the Woody Funeral Home (9271 Shady Grove Rd, Mechanicsville, VA 23116). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, September 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Signal Hill Memorial Park (12360 Hanover Courthouse Rd, Hanover, VA 23069).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that a rose bush or hydrangea be planted in memory of their beloved husband, father, and grandfather.
