With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Thomas Russell Blontz of Glen Allen, Virginia, born in Altoona, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 20, 2026 at the age of 79. He was predeceased by: his parents, Phyllis Chatham and Paul Chatham Sr.; and his siblings, Sueann Wirick and Paul Chatham Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Blontz; his children, Valerie Mitchell (Steven Mitchell) and Christopher Blontz (Sarah Blontz); his grandchildren, Jacob Mitchell, Justus Mitchell and Alyssa Blontz; his great grandchildren, Ava and Cora Mitchell; his sisters, Harriet Campbell and Joann Plowman; his brother-in-law Mark Campbell; Tobi Harris. He is also survived by his extended family.
