He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Linwood and Mary Byrd Jones; and his brother Ernest "Ernie" Jones Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Jean Jones; his son Craig Jones (Shelby); his stepchildren, Renee Miller (Jeff), Tina Roberson, Kevin Walsh, Keith Walsh (Laura) and Karen Starke; his sister Mary Spicer; his grandchildren, Elijah Walter Jones, Brian Roberson, Eric Roberson (Renee), Ashley Epling (Bryan), Brooke Walsh, Brandon Walsh, Matt Walsh (Kyleigh), Katelyn Starke and Kasey Starke; and his great grandchildren, Emma Roberson, Kylee Epling and Greer Walsh.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hunton Baptist Church (11660 Greenwood Rd, Glen Allen, VA 23059). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A committal service was held on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Signal Hill Memorial Park (12360 Hanover Courthouse Rd, Hanover, VA 23069).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hunton Baptist Church or 28:19 Ministries in his honor.
