She was predeceased by: her husband Major Douglas Harley Poynter. She is survived by: her children, Douglas Poynter (Ellen Poynter), Danielle Poynter and DeAnna Atkinson (Peter T. Atkinson). She is also survived by seven grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Bethany Presbyterian Church (5358 Zuni Cir, Zuni, VA 23898).
