He was predeceased by: his parents, Dolly McMasters and Jessie L. Cecil; and his siblings, Jessie Cecil, Lloyd Cecil, Floyd Cecil, Carl Cecil, Bill Cecil, Lila Garrett and Madelyn Frickle.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Kay Cecil; his children, Kenneth Cecil and Joyce Mitchell (Dennis Mitchell); his granddaughters, Hannah Campbell Gregg (Lucas Gregg) and Deanna Mitchell (Jaedon McManus); his great grandchild Everleigh McManus; and his brother David Cecil.
A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hogg Funeral Home (3098 George Washington Memorial Hwy, Hayes, VA 23072). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Bethany United Methodist Church (1860 Hayes Rd, Gloucester Point, VA 23062).
