She was predeceased by: her father Stanford Owens; and her brother Russell Owens. She is survived by: her mother Bettye Hudgins Owens; her husband Walter Edward Allmond, Jr.; her children, Suzanne Blanks (Michael) and James "Jay" Smith (Stephanie); her stepdaughters, Emily Allmond-Flippin (Bobby) and Stephanie Jenkins (Chris); her siblings, Stanford Owens, Jr. (Glenda), Dorothy Adams and David Owens; her aunt June Brown; and her grandchildren, Tyler Busic (Stevie), Billy Jenkins, Molly Smith, Leslie Jenkins, Aiden Zeliff, Carter Paige Flippin, Dylan Smith, Addie Smith and Zoe Blanks. She is also survived by 3 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Andrews Funeral Home (7192 W Main St, Gloucester, VA 23061).
Memorial donations may be made to either Gloucester Volunteer Fire and Rescue, or to the Health Pauley Health Center at VCU-MCV.
