He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Pierpont (Zeke) and Barbara Bishop Pierpont; and his brother Gary Pierpont. He is survived by: his wife Beverly Baldree Pierpont; his daughters, Amber Pierpont and Andrea McNiel (Ben); his grandchildren, Hannah Wilson, Blake Wilson and Marissa Wilson; and his siblings, Sharon Pierpont, Robert Pierpont (Judi) and Sandy Pierpont.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Petsworth Baptist Church (2471 Hickory Fork Rd, Gloucester, VA 23061). A memorial service was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
He retired after a 40 year career where he had earned many awards and recognitions for his contributions to NASA's programs.
