He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Mowry and Helen Sterrett Mowry; and his wife Meta Bond Mowry. He is survived by: his sons, Howard James "Jim" Mowry (Belinda), David Alan Mowry and Eric Leslie Mowry; his sister Phyllis Mowry Fosbenner; and his friends, Kenny Hogge, S. Jean Pierce, Carlton, Robin Drew, Emma Osborne and Craig Bates. He is also survived by three grandchildren, great-grandchildren.
